Thats me right there looking all serious! I'm not usually that serious! I’m a freelance photographer working throughout Ireland - and abroad - when I’m lucky. Coming from an art-photography background I like to capture natural, spontaneous moments as well as creating modern portraits. I finished my degree in Photography at IADT in 2008.
I recently took time out of work to do a years solo travel around the world. It was the best thing I have done since deciding to study photography. It made me realise how much I love photographing people. I think it is this that pushed me towards weddings and portraits.
I've been shooting weddings since 2006. As a wedding photographer I have a relaxed, but organised approach. I like to let the day unfold naturally, but I am always aware of how best to bring the family together for some photos. I am guilty of gushing when I capture an intimate moment with the bride and groom but really who doesn't love that stuff!
I have a serious (ish) side to my photography, in that I love to work on projects that are close to my heart and exhibit them every now and then. I do this with a group of like-minded friends, with whom I co-founded a collective.
I also work as a freelance medical eye photographer. Yes, I know, strange right? Have you ever seen what the back of your eye looks like? Kinda beautiful, like a forest. But don’t worry I won’t get that close on your wedding day!
I am based in Dublin and Wicklow but I am happy to travel nationwide, whether you’re a couple who’s found your ideal wedding venue, or you like the look of my work!
